Rutty Tool-Less Plastics

Rutty Tool-Less Plastics works with the following materials:

		Any solvent bondable, machine-able, formable thermoplastic that can be obtained in extruded sheet form

		HIPS, ABS, Polycarbonate, Acrylic, PETG, PVC

		95% of RTP's - Rutty Tool-less Plastics enclosures are manufactured using HIPS

		RTP stocks 13 different colours of HIPS available in 6 different thicknesses. Our HIPS exhibits a semi gloss finish with a slightly textured embossing pattern on one side and a smooth surface on the other. To eliminate scratches, the textured surface arrives to our factory and is stored with a protective mask.

Please note that due to a higher demand of certain colours/thicknesses stock quantities can vary greatly over the range.

	General properties of HIPS Physical

		Vicat softening temperature approx. 90-95°C

		Continual operating temperature approx. 65-70°C

		Good rigidity and toughness

		Good heat stability but long term heat may cause embrittlement

		Continuous exposure to ultra violet light may reduce impact strength and toughness and may cause discolouration. Black or other dark colours and painting will reduce the UV breakdown.

		Readily accepts printing in a wide variety of inks

	Chemical

		Non toxic - approved for use in the food and beverage industry

		Good resistance to acids, bases, detergents and disinfectants

		Not recommended for use with aldehydes, aromatic amines, hydrocarbons, esters and ketones

		Mould and mildew resistant
